parties
generally in custody cases, a 5-2 Pennsylvania Supreme Court
has ruled that
same-sex partners have standing to seek custody of their
former partners'
biological children, so long as they can prove in loco parentis
status.
A lesbian who helped raise two children was
awarded permanent visitation rights over the objections of
her ex-lover, the biological mother.
